It’s been a long time coming but today, Ballina Shire Council, decided on a site to house an Aboriginal Child and Family Centre.
The facility will be one of just nine centres in the state and provide indigenous and low income families with child care and health services.

This is a positive move towards improving the social interaction of our people.The Aboriginal People of the Ballina area have many role models they can call upon, to centralise a gathering of our young,where they can learn and communicate authentically, is one of the ways our Traditional forebearers imparted their knowledge.
