S.E.S. NOT UP TO SCRATCH IN FLOOD-RAVAGED TENTERFIELD SHIRE
The State Emergency Service has been criticised for failing to help some Tenterfield shire residents battling major floodwaters this week.
But the organisation says calls for help need to go to a general 13-number and not the local unit.

As you will in the story, we spoke to Steve Martin, SES North West controller. Ten FM received a number of calls from residents in and around Tenterfield who were concerned they were getting a response from the Tenterfield unit. Steve Martin also explained that during emergencies people need to call 132500 to avoid delays.
