Parents of children with a disability are concerned the state government is planning to down-size a support unit at Gosford East Public School.
They say their children’s quality of life will be affected.
Being a mother of 2 special needs children im highly concered that the down sizing of the unit has even been considered based on the fact that some of these kids will be exiting. Unfortunately more children will be requiring this special service and others like it, as babys are born everyday with disabilities. Also to take away the theropy that these children thrive on, teaching them to talk,grasp,move and relieve there pain, do the things that most of us take for granted. Perhaps if the travel alowance of just 1 parlimentary head was cut , there would be no god dam need for this units future to be jeperdised. Get it right for god sake, Im horified by this whole ordeal, as if these parents and carers dont have enough on thier plates to deal with DISCUSTING!
