Port Stephens police say they’ve smashed a major drug ring operating across the Hunter Valley.

Officers involved in Operation Seamist have seized $550,000 worth of heroin, amphetamine and cannabis, as well as $100,000 in cash, cars, a speed boat and quad bikes, during raids in homes at Raymond Terrace, Tomago, Boat Harbour, Tanilba Bay, Newcastle and Singleton.

So far 23 people have been charged with a range of drug offences.

Police believe the bust will have a major impact on drug supply across the region.
