NEWCASTLE’S JOEY PETERS JOINS AN ELITE FOOTBALL GROUP

In some good football news, Newcastle’s Joey Peters has been inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame.

Peters is regarded as a pioneer in the sport, having become the first Australian woman to play professionally in South America.

She represented her country 110 times, and believes the dream of seeing the Matildas play at home in a World Cup is worth fighting for.

Why not look to a women’s world cup, I think it would still have a magic effect if people are willing to appreciate it for what it is.
