$2.5 MILLION TEMPORARY CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL COMPLETE

More than $2.5 million worth of work has finished on Newcastle’s temporary cruise ship terminal, just days out from the start of the cruising season.

Jodi McKay toured the facility at Dyke Point, ahead of an expected 4,000 passengers, when the Pacific Sun docks on Wednesday.

She says the state is considering three sites to establish a permanent terminal in the port.

“We are doing everything we can to make sure that we keep this city on the map as a cruise destination, but it does require constant work.”
