NORTH COAST SURF REPORT 05-02-10

Rubbery arms are replacing rubbery waistlines on surfers along the coast this week.

If you haven’t noticed, the swell is up at last. Waves around the two metre mark have been cracking on the beaches and points for most of this week, with many a surfer eagerly attacking the bombs on offer.

Our pictures taken lunchtime yesterday at Macauleys in Coffs Harbour show a few clean rides on the high tide. Conditions have varied throughout the week depending on winds and tide, with plenty of quality sessions on offer for the lucky ones who could arrange their work to suit.

The swell peaked this morning, with the constant sets testing surfers abilities to paddle through the impact zones, but should settle down over the weekend, giving the less experienced surfers a chance to enjoy the waves.

cheers, noel.
