  1. Eriez Magnetics has sold these flotation devices since 1999. Check out their HydroFloat Cells.

  2. Hi, I don’t know who Raj is, but I’m Professor Jameson’s daughter, and my father is no fraud. Flotation has indeed been used for over a century. That’s the point – the technology was well overdue for updating, and Professor Jameson has made a major contribution in the field. There are many other inventions, however, which have also played – and continue to play – a role in improving the technology. You would need to be working in the field to elucidate the differences between inventions – for example, I am not skilled enough to know what the points of difference would be between a Jameson Cell and a HydroFloat. I do know however that the Jameson Cell was invented in 1985, so it was around long before 1999.

  3. I admire Professor Jameson’s great invention of Jameson flotation cell.

  4. When ‘Raj’ has too many medals and awards to list in his CV, has been awarded an AO for his scientific achievements, has over 70 patents granted or pending and has been publishing in his field for fifty years his opinion might carry some weight. If Jameson is a fraud, so is the entire patent system. Then again, Raj is probably just another cyberspace pinhead paranoiac who believes the patent system is run entirely on bribes, by aliens. Enjoy the tinfoil hat, Raj.

  5. Hey Raj / Erica… you guys are right….. he copied it from Eriez HydroFloat… What a shame for a such great Oz prof.

  6. Of course, the Jameson Cell, patented in 1987, appears to be VERY similar to the flotation device parented by Prof Wolfgang Simonis on 15th October 1981. Please see UK Patent Application GB 2107612A. I believe that Jameson visited Simonis’ lab in Berlin during 1986.
