Tamworth residents are being warned to be wary of dodgy builders offering to fix driveways.
The Office of Fair Trading says the traders, commonly known as the Bitumen bandits, bully and intimidate residents into paying for shoddy work by either cash or bank cheque.
Minister, Virginia Judge, says the group of men, with Irish accents, prefer to work in rural and regional areas and have been seen working around Tamwort.
Locals are being urged to call 13 32 20 to report any concerns.
