The federal government has approved more than $410,000 in funding for ready-to-go, local infrastructure projects within the Tenterfield Shire.
In a bid to secure local jobs and generate construction activity, more than 18 projects have been fast tracked, including construction of a new cycleway.
The Tenterfield Showground’s pavilion, grandstand and kitchen facilities will be upgraded and more than $30,000 will be spent promoting tourism.
$160,000 has been allocated to updating the region’s community halls.
