Surf lifesaving, and Northcliffe powerhouses Shannon Eckstein and Kristyl Smith have shown they’re the ones to beat heading into the Ocean Assault finals series, after claiming back to back wins in the qualifying rounds at Tugun.
In round four, Kristyl Smith caught a late wave to beat Kurrawa’s Hayley Bateup, while Ecsktein held out club mate Zane Holmes to win his third title.
