A post mortem has been carried out on a body discovered in bushland near Tenterfield.
The remains, thought to be that of a man, were found near a remote campsite in the Basket Swamp National Park on Friday morning.
Police are eager to speak with anyone who was recently camping in or around the area.
The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
