WEATHER UPDATE – THURSDAY SOUTHERLY

The Thursday southerly has again arrived on time moving through the Hunter this afternoon, continuing its way north across the entire region overnight, clearing Friday morning from SE QLD.

The system is producing a short burst of showers with a few storm cells embedded in the rain band.
The strong southerly winds will ease quickly during Friday afternoon. We are in for a mostly fine and sunny weekend with more cold nights and chilly mornings.
A new southerly swell will arrive on Friday but it will be smaller in the far north.
We will see a small rain event develop early next week but at this stage no major totals are expected.
