Lismore is breathing a sigh of relief after confirmation that its Japanese sister-city hasn’t been affected by the disaster.
Lismore forged a relationship with Yamato Takada in 1963, when the mayors of both cities signed an agreement to promote mutual friendship.
Yamato Takada is south of Osaka in the Nara prefecture, well away from the worst of the damage.
