Nurses and midwives strike at new Tweed Hospital with support from construction workers

Calls for better work conditions echoed all the way to the border – where nurses and midwives gathered at Tweed, to join the statewide strike.

Construction workers also made their presence known – showing solidarity for the union outside the town’s new hospital.

Staff from Lismore, Byron and Ballina hospitals travelled, to stand with their colleagues.
