THREE TEENAGERS ARRESTED FOLLOWING LAKE HAVEN BRAWL

Three teenagers have been charged following an alleged brawl in Lake Haven last night, which left three police officers injured.

About 11.30pm, officers were called to the car park of a fast food restaurant on Goobarabah Avenue on the Central Coast, following reports of a large brawl involving up to 100 young men and women.

During the melee a teenage male allegedly assaulted a senior constable, head-butted another constable, and threw a can of alcohol at an acting inspector.

Capsicum spray was deployed, and the boy was arrested.

It will be alleged, another teenage boy assaulted police during the same incident, and resisted arrest.

A third teenage boy was arrested for an unrelated matter.

All three teenagers were taken to Wyong Police Station, where a number of charges were laid, including assaulting an officer in execution of duty, refusing to comply with direction, and escaping police custody.

The three will appear at a children’s court in January.
