Around 30 Newcastle bosses and community leaders swapped their comfortable beds for a cardboard box last night, as part of the Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout at Hunter Stadium.
Lake Macquarie mayor Jodie Harrison, and the University of Newcastle’s vice-chancellor Caroline McMillen were among the identities sleeping rough for the night.
Now in its 10th year, the event raised more than $50,000 for the organisation’s homelessness services.
