Byron Bay’s new hospital is one step closer with council approving the rezoning of land, which will allow the development to go ahead.
Councillors were unanimous in their decision and the planning propsal will now be forwarded to the New South Wales Government.
The Byron Central Hospital at Ewingsdale will provide 54 beds and a wider range of medical services.
