A 43-year-old man will face Coffs Harbour Local Court today, charged with malicious wounding and breaching an apprehended violence order.
The man allegedly struck a 29-year-old man with an aluminium torch, while he was at the Jetty with his partner and children last night.
He suffered a cut to his head, as well as several chipped teeth.
Police say the men are known to each other.
