COMMON BERRY COULD HOLD THE KEY TO WARDING OFF TRAVEL BUGS
Could the common elderberry help ward off colds after long-distance flights?
Griffith University researchers are hoping to find the answer, by testing 280 travellers.
Half will take elderberry capsules, while placebos will be given to the rest.
“Our trial is really for travel which has a minimum of seven hours. So if you fly to Asia or Africa, Europe – that would be sort of the travel we’re looking at. And especially when you fly economy class because you’re really quite tight.”
