LEUKAEMIA WALK LIGHTS UP THE NIGHT

Novocastrians in some way touched by leukaemia have joined with others across the country, for the 12th ‘Light the Night’ fundraising walk.

Surviviors carried white lanterns, those who’ve lost someone to the disease, gold lanterns, supporters, blue.

“I would love to see a future, where it get to look out at this crowd, and not see a single gold lantern, to instead see a sea of white lanterns.”

The Leukaemia Foundation hopes to see zero lives lost to the insidious disease by 2035, and is working to improve treatment options.
