The redevelopment of Coffs Harbour’s Brelsford Park is set to go ahead following a council vote last night.
The project will see the realignment of the cricket oval and tennis courts and the demolition of the grandstand.
New facilities including an adventure playground, parkland and picnic areas will be created on the land which adjoins the CBD.
The federal government has contributed $1.5-million toward the project which has an overall cost of $6-million.
An area of land will also be set aside for a future art gallery, library and civic centre.
