GAV’S WEATHER: YOUR ANZAC DAY FORECAST

The trough over the New South Wales coast has been producing cloud, as well as some showers and a few small storms. Isolated coastal showers are expected to continue for the New South Wales coast as the low dips further south. We are likely to see some rain tomorrow morning between Newcastle and Coffs Harbour with the highest probability between Port Stephens and Taree. The Northern Rivers may see some shower activity, so it’s best to be prepared. No rain is expected on the western side of the divide, with the North West and Upper Hunter expected to remain dry.

GAV’S WEATHER: COASTAL SHOWERS SET TO INCREASE

The trough over the New South Wales coast has been producing cloud with showers and storm development, as it develops into a weak low. Isolated coastal showers are set to continue for the Queensland and New South Wales coast as the low deepens. This will not be a dangerous system. Coastal showers will continue with onshore winds strengthening slightly as the trough deepens. It will remain mostly fine inland.

GAV’S WEATHER: WET WEATHER SET TO INCREASE

Once again there is very little cloud across the nation. The trough over New South Wales has been producing some cloud, with showers and storms a chance to develop this afternoon. There will be isolated showers along the Queensland and New South Wales coast tomorrow, with the trough lines producing more rain in the form of showers and storms. This system may turn into a East Coast Low next week. It will remain mostly fine inland, while the trough deepens closer to the coast potentially forming a low.

GAV’S WEATHER: FINE WEATHER INLAND FOR NOW

The fronts have swept through the south east, with the last front pushing through a southerly and triggering some shower activity. It’s set to remain clear inland, while on the coast a new swell will pulse in overnight. More coastal shower activity is on the way as the onshore winds settle in for a while. The skies will remain mostly clear over the western side of the divide, as the dry weather continues for another day. Some inland rain is set to tumble down later in the week.

GAV’S WEATHER: AUTUMN WINDS ARRIVE

Once again there is very little cloud across the nation with a low set to pass across the Great Australian Bight tonight. The fronts are set to sweep through locally on Saturday with only increased winds and slightly cooler temperatures expected. Any form of showers or storm development from these fronts will be very limited. You can expect a fairly windy weekend with cooler temperatures settling in on Sunday morning.

Once again there is very little cloud across the nation. Isolated coastal showers for the north NSW and QLD coasts will come in late behind a weak southerly change. Most of the nation will experience another dry day with widespread above average temperatures to the point of being record breaking for this time of the year. Remaining fine and hot inland.

GAV’S SURF: SUMMER NOT GIVING UP

Summer won’t give up. There’s plenty of swell around for the weekend, especially for the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales, but the winds will be onshore causing some bumps. The Mid North Coast will be home to some classic beach weather, feeling a lot more like summer with morning offshore winds and a moderate swell. Newcastle and the Central Coast will also enjoy morning offshore winds but the swell will not be as big. The pick will be get in before the lunch time high tide.

Cyclone Iris will weaken further and remain offshore, while there is very little cloud across the nation. Isolated coastal showers for Queensland will ease, with most of the nation set to experience another dry day. Some incredible April weather is on the way this weekend, and is set to continue all next week. Summer like conditions are on the way.
