A controversial topless bar in Byron Bay has withdrawn its application to serve alcohol until 7am.
The move comes as a relief to residents, and council – who were preparing to fight the proposal on the grounds it would fuel drunken, antisocial behaviour the town.
However it won’t stop the Bay at Byron from continuing to trade under its existing licensing conditions.
The business has drawn plenty of criticism since it opened its doors a month ago.
