A group of Aboriginal high school students from the Central Coast will visit Coffs Harbour and Kempsey later this week as part of the 2011 Freedom Ride.
The group is re-tracing Charles Perkins’ historic journey through New South Wales.
During the two-week journey, the Freedom Riders are speaking with remote Aboriginal communities.
They are hoping to gain support for constitutional change for Indigenous Australians, and draw public attention to the campaign.
The group will spend tonight meeting locals in Grafton.
