ON BOARD HMAS NEWCASTLE AS IT RETURNS TO NEWCASTLE

It’s the only vessel in the Royal Australian Navy to be named after Newcastle, and this morning it returned to its namesake city.

While the visit was part of a fundraising campaign for a local school, for 11 of HMAS Newcastle’s crew, it was also an overdue homecoming.
