Armidale Regional Council’s Performance Improvement Order has been extended until December’s local government election.
It was enforced last December by the Local Government Minister, after council returned from a six-month suspension.
Under the order, councillors must not make any financial decisions without the approval of a third party controller.
The restrictions had been due to end this month.
