TAMWORTH ON FLOOD WATCH AGAIN

Tamworth is bracing for the worst again with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a flood watch for the Peel River.

A low pressure system is bringing low cloud, heavy rain and strong winds to central western and northern New South Wales.

The State Emergency Service says there is the potential for minor to moderate flooding in Tamworth over the next 24 to 48 hours.

All SES units in the Namoi region have been notified and will be on standby over the weekend.

The Halls creek Road from Bendemeer to Manilla has been close due to slippery conditions.
