TAMWORTH’S KATE JENNER ONE OF 27 HOCKEYROOS VYING FOR OLYMPICS

A quick return to national sport, and Tamworth’s Kate Jenner remains hopeful of Olympic selection, as the Hockeyroo’s compete in the Trans-Tasman hockey series.

The 27-woman squad is taking on New Zealand over four test matches.

Play has been intense for the girls so far, with both rounds one and two ending in a draw.

“A little messy by the Australians, but it’s still there, could still work out here, there’s a shot on goal! And a brilliant finish!”

Selectors will choose just 16 players from the competition to represent Australia at the Games.

The series, which is being played at New Zealand’s Massey University, wraps up on Tuesday.
