POLICE BUST NYE RAVE IN STATE FOREST WEST OF WYONG

Tuggerah Lakes Police have busted a massive New Year’s Eve rave set up in bushland on the Central Coast.

An anonymous call to police led them to discover a music festival well established in the Olney State Forest, one hour north west of Wyong.

Officers attend shortly after 5-pm yesterday to find between 700 to a thousand people gathered.

Camp sites were set up, as well as a performance stage and a full music line up.

It is alleged the rave had been going for a few days.

Police say they are seeking legal action against a 41-year-old woman from Wangi.
