STORM SEASON SLOWLY GETTING UNDERWAY

A rain band with embedded thunderstorms has been rolling across eastern Australia.

There are two systems, making their way through today with another approaching Victoria.

The largest front, and its associated trough which extends into the northern tropic, is passing the region at the moment causing a line of showers and storms.

Two more troughs are sweeping across the Victoria and Tasmania, keeping things windy and wet in the far south of the country.

The trough will contract to NE NSW and SE QLD tomorrow, making for a mostly fine Tuesday inland across the western plains with westerly winds.

Afternoon storms are expected across the northern NSW ranges affecting coastal regions in the afternoon/evening once again.
