SIX WEEK OLD BABY MURDER CASE ADJOURNED UNTIL WEDNESDAY

A 26-year-old mother charged with the murder of her six week old baby yesterday will remain behind bars.

She was arrested at a home in Wallsend yesterday morning, after police found the baby’s body.

The West African woman who didn’t apply for bail, had her case briefly mentioned in Newcastle Bail Court this morning.

Her case has been adjourned to Newcastle Local Court on July 29.
