The Central Coast priest behind a controversial sign that publicly supports the burqa says he’s been bombarded with hate mail.
Gosford Anglican Priest, Fr Rod Bower, has come under scrutiny over a sign outside his church which reads “Bless the Burqa”.
The wording has caused a frenzy on social media, with some users criticising him for making such a public stance.
But Fr Bower has told NBN News he sees it as a way to promote social inclusion and harmony.
