LONG BOARDERS GEARING UP FOR STATE TITLES

The State Surfmasters may have wrapped up, but the surfing action is set to continue in the Great Lakes from tomorrow, with the New South Wales Longboard Titles getting underway.

2009 world champion, Harley Ingelby, is among the top field of surfers contesting the event.

The Coffs Harbour local will compete in the open men’s division, while Evans Head long boarder Reuben Roxburgh is a favourite for the loggers division.

They’ll join more than 120 surfers in the four-day event, which has 15 titles up for grabs.

The competition will be held at several locations between Tuncurry and Pacific Palms.
