A 19-year old man Sydney man will face Cessnock Local Court this morning after allegedly stealing a car and driving it from Sydney to the Hunter.
Police allege the offender arranged to test drive the white Daihatsu Charade from a Sydney property, but took it to Cessnock.
During the journey it’s alleged the teenager stole a set of registration plates from another vehicle and failed to pay for fuel in the Sydney and Coalfields area.
Police located the man on Wednesday, when they found him spray painting the stolen car.
He was charged with numerous offences.
