WOMAN AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER FALL ON THE CENTRAL COAST

A woman has been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital with head injuries after falling from a rock platform on the Central Coast.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was walking through the Wyrrabalong National Park, when she fell and hit her head on the rocks.

Five ambulance crews and a rescue helicopter arrived at the Crackneck Lookout just after 1pm.

She was winched off the beach and transported to hospital in a stable condition.

Earlier this week, an 81-year-old was rescued from the same spot after he became trapped by the rising tide.

He was winched to safety and was thankfully uninjured, but shaken.
