Multiple near drownings on the NSW North Coast

Surf lifesavers are calling for caution around the water, following a series of emergencies along the North Coast today.

A man was rescued from the water semi-conscious at Forster – suffering injuries to his head, and possibly his spine.

Further north at Lennox Head, a man in his 40s was pulled from the water by an off-duty lifeguard and required oxygen.

While a woman in her 20s was taken to hospital, after suffering a seizure in the water at Byron Bay’s Belongil Beach around 3pm.

Surf life savers are calling for swimmers to only head to patrolled beaches… with warm conditions forecast tomorrow.
