OXLEY HIGH NEWEST LOCATION FOR GIRLS ACADEMY

The newest branch of The Girls Academy was launched at Oxley High School this morning.

Around 50 girls have enrolled in the program, which is designed to help at-risk indigenous teens overcome barriers which prevent them from finishing high school.

“So the most important thing that we can do is make sure that you girls, the leaders of the future are strong and educated young women so that we can help close that gap that does exist between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians.”

The girls will engage in daily activities which embrace their indigenous culture.
