BORDER VETERAN RESTALL SET FOR TOMORROW’S BATTLE

More than 700 cyclists, will push off from Point Danger tomorrow for ‘Battle on the Border’.

The race is considered one of the toughest in the country, and this year, it will be even more so – with an extra 30-kilometres added to the route.

Battle veteran, Jacob Restall, has the home advantage.

“It’s in my back yard. I train around these roads a lot. The racing here and the weather is great, usually. Friendship within the team is really important, and here at Charter Mason we’re really close, and a good bunch of guys. We’re going to race really well together.”

The race kicks off at 10 o’clock tomorrow.

The ‘Battle’ Festival runs for four days.
