Public submissions for the North Byron Parklands proposal have been tallied with the majority in support of the 660-acre festival site at Yelgun.
The New South Wales Department of Planning received just over 5,500 submissions, with only 715 against the proposal.
There were also only 25 signatures on a petition against the site, compared to just over 4100 in support of it.
A decision is expected in the new year.
