New South Wales will look to maintain top spot on the Sheffield Shield ladder when it takes on Western Australia in Newcastle this week.
With Doug Bollinger taking a hat-trick against Victoria in Wagga last round, the Blues’ batsmen are hoping to take centre stage against the Warriors.
“From all reports the Newcastle wicket quite flat and true, so I think we’ll see some higher scores than we did in Wagga and us batters can go and post a big total and give ourselves the best chance.”
Both teams will arrive in Newcastle tomorrow for net sessions at Number One Sportsground, before the match gets underway on Wednesday.
