Nelson Bay’s second week-long Sculpture Festival got underway today.
More than 20 pieces are on display along the foreshore and in nearby art centres- giving local artists the chance to show off their work.
Each depicts local flora or fauna, although some unique cases certaintly caught the eye of the youngsters
An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday night- and the winning entries will remain within the local landscape.
The festival will run until July 15 – inspired by Sydney’s famed Sculptures By The Sea – at Bondi Beach.
