AMBULANCE BROKEN INTO, MEDICATION STOLEN, AT WEST KEMPSEY

Police are appealing for information from the public after medication was stolen from an ambulance that was broken into on the Mid North Coast.

Paramedics in two separate ambulances attended a call for assistance on Tozer Street in West Kempsey at around 3:30am on Sunday.

As the patient was being taken to hospital in one ambulance, entry was forced into the second vehicle that was secured on the street, and medication stolen.

Police have also issued a warning of the dangers of taking medication which has not been prescribed to them by a doctor.
