Newcastle and Hunter Rugby officials have confirmed General Manager Shelley Youman has resigned, and will end her tenure on October 7.
The board will then appoint a caretaker GM, before conducting a recruitment process for a full-time replacement.

Mitchell Hughes started as a tape editor in Newcastle in 1999. He became a reporter in 2004, working in Lismore and on the Gold Coast.
