REMINDER TO BRUSH UP ON DENTAL HYGIENE

600 people are needlessly hospitalised across the Hunter-New England district every year,
due to dental disease.

This week, professionals are keen to see more locals take up the brush and floss to prevent illness.

Though they say local service gaps are also playing a part.

“There’s an issue with accessibility, so there’s a large waiting list for public dentistry so that’s why it is incredibly important for these campaigns to raise awareness for governments to be able to support public dentistry.”
