There was a significant step forward today for Lake Macquarie’s Glendale Transport Interchange.
Major bridge girders, forming the Winding Creek crossing, were lifted into place in a precise operation.
“The whole area here will be around 90 hectares of additional development space for industry as well as for residential properties,” said Lake Macquarie Deputy Mayor Brian Adamthwaite.
Council is seeking state and federal funds for the next stage of the project, the Pennant Street Bridge, better linking Glendale and Cardiff.
