CHATSWORTH ISLAND CELEBRATES 150 YEARS FOR ITS SCHOOL
The Chatsworth Island community in the Clarence Valley is preparing for a major celebration, marking the 150th anniversary of its public school.
The school, which now has 50 students and four teachers, will hold an open day, with old photos, student performances and memorabilia on display.
“We are expecting 300 or 400 people here on the day , community, family, friends, ex-students, teachers all coming together to recognise and acknowledge what Chatsworth Island Public School has done for them.”
The celebrations get underway on Saturday from 10am.
