Sporting organisations in the Tamworth electorate will share in up to $50,000 – awarded through a state government grant program.
The rollout of the money has changed, with participation and facility funding now wrapped in the one package, giving clubs more choice as to how they spend it.
Among those to benefit in recent years, the Barraba Bulldogs.
“When you get families going to a sporting facility, particularly ladies, they like to know that there’s decent toilet facilities there. So, you know, that can be the difference in them turning up and not turning up.”
Applications for grants are open until February 11.
