MAN SUFFERS HORRIFIC ARM INJURY IN WORK PLACE ACCIDENT

A 23-year-old man has been flown hospital after he partially amputated his arm on the Central Coast this morning.

Just before 11am, paramedics responded to reports of a work site accident on Ascot Avenue at Avoca Beach.

Three crews and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter were sent to the scene

New South Wales Ambulance Inspector Brad Gee says paramedics treated a man with a significant injury to the lower part of his right arm.

“Paramedics worked hard to stabilise the man before the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter airlifted him to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment,” Insp Gee said.

“It’s so important to take every safety precaution when on a work site and make sure you look out for your work mates.”

More to come.
