LAWN MOWER ACCIDENT LEAVES WOMAN ON LIFE SUPPORT

A 63-year-old woman is on life support after suffering multiple injuries in a ride-on mower accident yesterday afternoon.

Emergency was called to the property at Wollombi, but were unable to access the patient due to flood waters creating a boundary.

A Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked just before 6pm and was able to be winch inserted into the property.

The woman was treated and stabilised at the scene before being airlifted John Hunter Hospital on life support.

She is now receiving further specialist medical treatment.
